Each year AEA supports people and organizations who are out to make improve the lives of others. AEA not only awards partial and full AEA scholarships to students in financial need; we make sensible donations; and work with organizations, companies and travel partners that are environmentally conscious and socially responsible. This support comes from program and Chinese Phrase A Day proceeds. Some of our scholarship winners and organizations that we support are below:

The study abroad programs that I have been on through AEA-Asia have been nothing less than life changing. My first trip to Cambodia sparked my interest in returning to continue research and philanthropy. All that I was able to get done by getting in contact with the Royal University of Phnom Penh to do my collaborative research was only possible with the help of AEA... These tours have definitely played an integral role in shaping my dreams to reach beyond the parameters expected of U.S. students and attempt to really do something in the world that I can be proud of. I will surely use AEA as a resource through all of my endeavors and will always remember what you did to help me my find my purpose in life a purpose I can be proud of. Thank you so much for your help for you have helped me out in life more than I can ever truly express to you. Brittney Evans, doing research in Cambodia

Participating in  the INNOVATE program was a great opportunity for me to understand more about the world outside Vietnam because of the diverse nationalities of the participants. The difference in mother tongues as well as cultures made our journey more interesting. After Vietnamese business representatives gave speeches, we discussed Vietnam’s conditions enthusiastically and critically. That was a good chance for me, as a Vietnamese future business woman, to know what international friends think about Vietnam in terms of the business environment. Vietnam is still in the developing stage, there are many opportunities as well as threats that both foreign and domestic investors have to face.
